RE: water pump issues

Thanks "troubleshooter". I had found an article from Shureflo talking about having to do some rewiring or replacing of the 7amp controller with their pump. I think I'm just going to order a 15 amp controller from Intellitec today and also replace the 3 pump switches while I'm at it. Thanks for your help. Toby

RE: water pump issues

There is an intellitec MPX 7 amp Latching Controller on the side wall by the pump, could this have gone out? What does it do? Thanks again for the help.

RE: TV/internet satellite ?? Hughes Net?

I have hughes.net at home (no cable in the area) and it works fine. Runs me about $79 a month. They have different plans for different speeds. The dish is HUGE, twice the size of my Directv dish. I don't know if hughes.net makes smaller dishes for RV's or not. I've had mine for about 4 years now.

RE: Fresh water pump

Check the strainer (if you have one installed) mine had a small crack in it and I had the same symptoms.

RE: water pump issues

Also, the new pump worked just like the old one, switch on - light on, switch off - light off, for about a two days. Then after turning it on for the shower I never could get the lights off???

RE: water pump issues

I know, but with the old pump I could turn the switch (spring loaded) off and light would go off. Now it doesn't matter what I do with the switch, the lights stay on. What if there was a small leak some time, the pump would run till the tank was empty and burn up the pump. I think there is a problem somewhere???

water pump issues

I just replaced my old water pump with the surflo 7.5 smart sensor pump. Went camping this weekend and after turning the pump on and taking a shower (great water pressure and flow) the on/off light will not go off from any of the three switches. The pump turns off and is not running but the on light will not go off unless I turn the main disconnect off. I took the bathroom switch apart thinking it was stuck and unplugged the wires, but the light by the kitchen sink stays on. What do you experts think this is and how do I fix it. It is on a 95 Bounder. Thanks

RE: other Full time parking options?

SGTJoe, I live and work down in Utah County where we only have 3 parks, after driving thru them I wouldn't want to spend 6 months or a year living in them. I'm going to drive around this weekend and check out the mobile home parks in the area.

RE: other Full time parking options?

I was wondering, is it possible to park on an empty pad at a mobile home park?? They should have water, sewer, and electricity??? Anyone know of any restrictions or why it wouldn't work?

RE: other Full time parking options?

That's a great idea, I've looked in the classifieds but have never seen anything or anyone renting out an RV spot. I thought of buying a small lot but the cost of all the hook ups don't make it a very good option.

other Full time parking options?

The DW and I are looking to go full time ASAP. We only have two RV Parks in the area and neither look that great for long term. We want to stay and work our current jobs for a few more years, anyone with any other parking ideas? Thanks

Doubletree tub/shower??

I'm looking at the 2008 Doubletree Elite which has an option for a tub/shower. There are no dealers anywhere close to me that has an Elite so I'm wondering if anyone out there has this option. Do you like it, is it actually big enough to take a bath in? Thanks.

RE: Suburban Heater in my Bounder Motorhome

How long does it run? My 95 Bounder would light for about 10 seconds and then the gas valve would shut off. Ended up having to pull the furnace and replace the sensor. Not a hard job, about an hour.

Is a tag more stable when parked?

The DW complains about me being up and moving around early in the morning in or 95 Bounder. When we do upgrade is a tag more stable when parked and the jacks down. Is 4 point jacks better that the 3 points I have. Thanks.

plug wires for F-53

Help, I have put two sets of factory (Napa) plug wires on my 95 Bounder F-53 and the heat still breaks them down. Can anyone point me to a web site or place where I can get a set of high temp plug wires. Thanks.
